National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, (NCNDE-A), under the leadership of   Eshanekpe Israel, has said it would not support President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019. The group said the president has disappointed them and the entire Niger Delta. 8'   The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, whose tenure expired midnight on Monday, said earlier in the day that he would visit the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday (today) with his bedclothes and pillowcase. Fayose’s immunity ends along with his tenure and he has been invited to the headquarters of the EFCC where he will answer to allegations that he received about N1.3bn from the Office of the National Security Adviser through the then Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro Fayose said, “I will be there on Tuesday. The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has declared that no human being can solve the challenges facing Nigeria. Speaking during a Thanksgiving service at the RCCG Throne of Grace Parish in Ebute-Meta, Lagos, on Sunday, Adeboye said only God can resolve the crisis bedeviling the country. Adeboye said:- “At least our case has not become so bad that we now have to sleep in the graveyard. “No human can solve our challenges in Nigeria, we need divine intervention and If we truly humble ourselves, turn from our wicked ways and pray, God will answer our prayers. Negotiations by Tripartite Committee on a new National Minimum Wage have run into a stalemate. This is following the Nigerian Government stance that it cannot afford more than N25,000 per month. Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, and Organised Private Sector, OPS, have already agreed on a N30,000 minimum wage per month. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has advised Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara to vacate what it called ‘usurped positions’ and allow for the reconvening of the National Assembly to attend to ‘urgent and pressing national issues’ which require legislative attention at plenary. The Federal Ministry of Education on Wednesday said there was no plan to increase the tuition to N350, 000 per session as claimed by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, noting that the establishment of an Education Bank was already in the pipeline. The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr. Sonny Echono, stated this in Abuja while reacting to the allegations by the ASUU, noting that the re-establishment of the Education Bank was to provide students with loans and other resources through a public-private partnership. Echono, who spoke at a World Teachers’ Day Symposium, said teachers that did not have the requisite qualifications would be flushed out of the system by 2020. A pro-Buhari group, G-23, has said the Igbo will not repeat what it described as the mistake of 2015 when the South-East neglected a broad-based politics and supported former President Goodluck Jonathan based on regional consideration. The group regretted that the move cost the South- East politically, maintaining that the Igbo were out to support President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term so that power could be zoned to the South-East in 2023.
